LC-PVC is a composite line that includes: unwinder, electrostatic adhesion unit, electrostatic detachment to the adhesive belt, two printing units with print unit arrangement placed longitudinally as the roll advances, intermediate drying and cooling hoods between the two printing units, multi-layer oven: capable of maintaining a constant temperature of 60 ° C inside and 18 meters of material in the drying phase, rewinder for PVC rolls and mark reading system to pick up the roll of PVC for subsequent printing phases.

LC-PVC Features in detail

UNWINDING UNIT
Placed at the inlet sied of the machine, it allows the feeding of small rolls to the printing unit. It is equipped with:
  • Idle cylinders for keeping the tension of the roll to the printing unit.
  • Friction device to keep the roll tensioning.
  • Teflon roll to draw the material.
  • Pneumatic spindle.
PRINTING UNIT
  • N° 5 printing unit features a bridge central structure placed longitudinally (print direction corresponding to the belt motion direction)
  • Squeegee speed linearly variable from 3 to 60 m/min.
  • Pneumatic squeegee inversion endowed with registers to adjust the pressure and clearance angle.
  • Transversal and longitudinal centring registers of the drawing.
  • Unilateral mechanical head lifting (peel-off) featuring the possibility to adjust the lifting position.
  • Squeegee stroke independently adjustable by encoder.
  • Bilateral lifting of the whole print group for cleaning (h= 500 mm)
MARK READING GROUP
Placed after the print unit, it allows to re-print the following colours or the “empty step”.
FILM DETACHING ROLLER
Motorized rubber roller to facilitate the detachment of the film from the printing belt placed at the exit after the printing units.
HOT AIR DRYER
After the first color an electric drying hood is positioned with a blowing surface of 220 x 52 cm and composed of two electric resistances of 6 Kw each, the total absorption of the hood is 12 Kw.
COOLING HOOD
To cool the material before effecting the printing of the second color, a steel cooling hood with n ° 1 1,500 m3 / h electric fan is also installed.
ELECTROSTATIC INDUCTION SYSTEM
The system provides the adhesion of the support to the printing belt, through electrostatic charges without the aid of glues. The equipment is located at the beginning of the printing machine preceded by a pressure roller which guarantees the initial positioning of the support. When the support passes under the ionizing station it is electrostatically charged so as to be firmly anchored to the carpet of the printing machine and at the same time surface charges are released so as not to interact with the silk of the frames during printing; a pressure roller following the ionizing equipment ensures perfect adhesion of the substrate to the carpet of the printing machine. The ionizing station is equipped with a control panel through which it is possible to adjust the electrostatic charge power to be induced on the substrates to be printed. The substrate to be printed can be constituted for example by sheets or reels of plastic material, PVC, synthetic fabric, natural fiber (for example dry), polyester, etc., or in any case material capable of accumulating electrostatic charges (for example, they are excluded metallic materials, if not combined with plastic materials).

The system is composed as follows:
  • n ° 1 antistatic bar to facilitate the spreading of the material.
  • n ° 1 special static bar for the adhesion of the materials to be treated.
  • n ° 1 anti-static bar for the elimination of surface electrostatic charges.
HOT AIR OVEN AT THE END OF THE LINE
Hot air drying oven with heat recovery consisting of: Structure in galvanized sheet metal suitably shaped for uniform air distribution, Electric heater batteries with voltage variator to obtain the desired maximum temperature. 60 ° C, idle rollers for unwinding and drying 18 m of substrate. Two side doors for accessibility inside the oven and for making the first material run. In order to keep the pvc film well aligned, a tensioning and adjusting unit is installed in the oven.
REWINDER UNIT
It allows the continuous rewinding of small rolls. It is equipped with:
  • Roll holding unit
  • Photocell for reading the material border and to adjust the unwinding by tensioning cylinders
  • Motorization of the unit by motor-reducer.
  • Pneumatic spindle
  • Sensor of roll end.
