Squeegee and Floodbar


Each printing machine is equipped with one or more series of squeegees and floodbar. Depending from used ink and machine printing format different choice for squeegees and flood bar can be done.


Squeegee

  • The Squeegee are available with two profiles, interlocking and with screws, in both cases the Squeegee fixing on the machine is perform with handles positioned on the Squeegee blocks.
  • The Squeegee width screw size is: 40x16 mm while the profile width with interlocking attachment is 40x20 mm.
  • The Squeegee length must be chosen according to the printing machine and pallets installed on the machine.
  • When the size of the Squeegee is smaller than the distance between the two blocks, the Squeegee profile is milled keeping the upper part long.


Floodbar

Floodbar in various lengths, also available with lateral folds for color recovery. As an alternative to the use steel Floodbar we can suggest the use squeegee with hard rubber mounted.


Squeegee for manual printing

For manual screen printing machines we supply squeegees with an interlocking aluminum profile with a shape suitable for use by hand. Rubber type used for manual and automatic machine is the same.


Squeegee for rotary machines - Rotoscreen B and Rotoscreen X

For rotary printing machines we make special size squeegees suitable to use inside the screen printing cylinder.


Ink containment support - Rotoscreen B and Rotoscreen X

The squeegees are combined with special supports to hold the ink laterally


Squeegee for Alfa socks

For the Alfa Socks series machines used for printing the anti-slip on the socks, squeegees of reduced size are made, suitable for use in the close blocks of the alfa socks machine.


Squeegee for graphic printing

On carpet printing machines where the print format can go up to 2 mt x 3 mt, the profile that holds the squeegee is increased to obtain greater rigidity and better print quality.






Squeegee rubber

  • Material: polyurethane
  • Use for silk-screen printing with water-based, plastisol, silicone, solvent or UV inks.
  • The squeegee rubbers can also be sold in strips of length: 3.05 m
  • the rubber size is 50mm x 9mm
  • the squeegees can be re-sharpened if the rubber is in good condition

Brown Rubber 65Sh
Low hardness rubber recognizable by its brown color. Suitable for applications that require medium pressure, use in screen frame with low number of mesh, and not flat surface or where is required a large deposit of ink.
Brown rubber rounded profile 65Sh
Low hardness rubber recognizable by its brown color. The rounded rubber profile allows an even greater ink deposit than the brown rubber and straight profile.
Green rubber single layer 75 Sh
Medium hard rubber recognizable by its green color. Suitable for applications requiring high pressure, usable with a wide range of screen frame, suggets to use on regular surfaces.
Green rubber with three layers (green - white - green) (75 95 75 Sh)
The 3-layer polyurethane squeegee is composed with one particularly hard central layer (95 shore-A) and two softer layers (75 shore-A). This type of squeegee has been designed to obtain a premitter with a good rebound but with a softer contact angle in order to avoid excessive squeegee bending. Can be used with a wide range of screen frame, suggested to use on regular surfaces. This rubber is also used as a flood bar thanks to its high rigidity. This solution allows a homogeneous color recovery on the frame without risking damaging the screen printing mesh.
Blue Rubber 85 Sh
High hardness rubber recognizable by the blue color. Suitable for applications that require high pressures, can be used with all types of screen frame. Proper use allows to obtain results with excellent accuracy and definition with low ink deposit.
Triplet red rubber 45° profile
The 3-layer polyurethane doctor blade is composed of one particularly hard central layer (95 shore-A) and two softer layers. This type of squeegee has been designed to obtain a premitter with a good rebound but with a softer contact angle in order to avoid excessive squeegee's bending. Mainly usable in graphic applications and on flat surfaces.
