How to choose the right screen printing inks
The choice depends on three variables: support, yield/effect and drying process (air/oven/UV). If you have any doubts, please describe us material + end use + equipment available: we direct you to the most suitable family.
- Cotton and mixed: water base (soft hand) or plastisol (high coverage and productivity).
- Polyester and sports fabrics: solutions with barrier and high elasticity (often dedicated silicone or plastisol).
- Nylon and “difficult” materials: solvent inks specific for nylon/technical materials.
- Fashion/promotional effects: glitter, flock, foil, swelling, metallics.
Types of screen printing inks available
WATER BASED INKS
Versatile solutions for textile printing with the possibility to obtain different finishes (transparent, covering, swelling, corrosion, fashion effects) and with additives/pigments to customize the yield.
PLASTISOL INKS
Ideal for dynamic productions and high coverage needs, with dedicated series (white, basic colors, four-color, metallic, effects).
SILICONES FOR SCREEN PRINTING
For those who work on technical and sports garments and require an elastic, homogeneous print with a characteristic "hand".
SOLVENT INKS FOR NYLON AND SPECIAL MATERIALS
Printing on nylon, leather/leather and technical supports where adhesion and flexibility are needed.
